How to block ATM card?
If you want to block your ATM card then you can easily do that too. You can also block your ATM by calling the customer care number of your bank, through net banking, or by visiting the branch.
When to block ATM card?
- When someone is misusing your ATM and you do not even know, then in such a situation you should block your ATM card.
- This happened with me too, someone was shopping online from my ATM, then OTP came in my mobile –
- OTP was something like this – OTP 587496 for titan watch from your debit card ending ***
- Then I immediately called customer care and asked who is using my ATM and then turned off that ATM.
- This happened to me because I had given my ATM card details on many websites, some of which leaked my privacy. Since then I maintain 2 bank accounts. of different banks.
- I keep less money in a bank account and do online shopping with that. And I never give the details of a bank account to anyone.
Note: – After blocking your ATM card, you will get a number – it will be sent to your registered mobile. And when you go to apply for a new ATM then you will be asked this number.
