According to the new guidelines of the recently arrived Reserve Bank of India, to prevent online banking fraud, people who have never used their debit card for online transaction, their debit card will be temporarily blocked for online use.
If you also use PNB debit card and you are not able to conduct online transactions from it, then there is no reason to worry, your card will not be able for E-com transactions. You can activate your card for online use by yourself. . You can manage your debit card with the help of PNB Mobile Banking or Internet Banking.
How to enable debit card for an online transaction through PNB Mobile –
First of all, you login into the PNB mobile banking app and click on the option Debit Card shown on the front screen.Â
On the next screen, you will see the option of Enable / Disable Debit Card, click on it.
Now select your account number and enter the details of your debit card, in which you have to enter the debit card number, expiry date and ATM pin.Â
On the next screen, you will see options for ATM transactions, POS transactions & E-Com transactions in Enable Domestic transactions. You can tick whichever one you want to enable and click submit.Â
Just now you will be able to use your PNB debit card for online transactions as well.
How to start online transactions through PNB internet banking?
If you use Punjab National Bank’s net banking, then you can manage your debit card from here too. First of all, you log into net banking and go to value-added services, after that select card related services and then go to the option with debit card enable/disable.
Now select your account number, enter the details of the debit card and submit it, now on your next screen you will see an option of eCommerce in which you have to select Domestic and click on continue.
